DV cameras
Why does Win Xp claim to be compatible with all DV
cameras, and yet when you plug them in via firewire to digitize nothing happens. WIN xp cannot find the drivers? why not win 2000 had them, what the hell is the problem? can someone tell me please!!!!!!!! |

What kind of camera? XP works fine (stock) with a couple of my Sony's and
Canon's. Your camera may have a special XP driver if you bought it some time ago. You could check your manufacturer's website to see if there is a special driver. XP does the interface a little different which, for most people, is a blessing since it does a better job of identification and prompting. For other people it is a curse since, like you say, it doesn't recognize the camcorders as well. Tom "John" wrote in message ...
