Default Windows Movie maker and Sonic DVD

I have successfully downladed video clip from my DVD
Camcorder to the computer via Firewire port.
1st Que. Is it normal for the file to be 20Gb big.
2nd With a movie which has been rendered it suggests I
can send this back to my Camcorder if input into the time
line, The process seems to happen but nothing happens on
the camcorder.
3 How do I get renderd film over to sonic as sonic only
seems to want to transfer accross film downloaded from a
DVD camcorder which has not been finished.

Help me I need simple advice only. Also is there a manual
on line for these products rather then the help screens.

Thanks a million
