Buying new PC with XP, can I upload existing Office 2000?

Hi I'm using Windows ME and MS Office 2000 Premium, my PC keeps crashing and I'm considering getting a new PC. If I buy a replacement PC with XP can I upload my existing MS Office 2000 Premium onto it? Will it work? Nearly all PC's come with Office Basic basic, but I dont want to buy that if I can use my MS Office 2000 Premium that has all the extra applications (albiet not the latest version). Many thanks in advance Regards Richard Office 2000 will run on XP.
