Default Windows Backup question

After doing a backup with Windows 10, in the folder DATA, there are 2
subfolders: One had files I recognized in it, and the other was called
"$OF" (without the quotes of course). It consists of lots of folders
named with number in it. What's is the nature of the $OF folder? In
case it may be related, I performed by backup on my external "F" drive.

Thank you,
Bill

Google has the answer (plus ~5,800 additional answers):
"$OF folder is created by File History. It's one of the file history
system file. This folder is like a temp folder used for smooth function
of file backup on File history.Sep 15, 2014

Thanks for your help and your answer! Ironically, file backup seems
more primitive in Windows 10 than in Window 7. For instance, I couldn't
monitor it while the files were being backed up (I had to use Task
Manager to check where anything was happening at all!).

Thanks,
Bill
