Default ! Command Prompt Shift Key Stuck Bug with Newest NTVDM Updates

Hi,

I've recently updated my Windows XP system with all the Windows Updates
and now I've got a huge problem. Whenever I open a command prompt (dos box)
and run EDIT.COM then press the arrow keys, instead of the cursor moving
around, a selection highlight is created. For example if I open a file with
EDIT.COM and press the RIGHT arrow key, instead of the cursor moving to the
second character in the line, the first character is selected (highlighted).
I thought that it might be that the SHIFT key is stuck but it's NOT, if I
press an alphanumeric character, the right character comes up instead of the
shifted character (capital/lower case), also, pressing any other character
brings up the correct one (1 NOT !), only the arrow keys seem to be
affected.

Any ideas? It's REALLY annoying.
