Cannot instal sun Java

Default Cannot instal sun Java

i need to've sun java installed to get to a certain
chatroom, downloading went fine just that my OS won't let
it instal during installation. i'm using xp home sp1,
update my windows regularly logged in as the
administrator of my laptop too. a friend told me buying a
set-up disk'll solve the instal problem.
anyone've a better idea ?

What error do you get when you try to install? A setup disk wouldnt have
any real impact on your ability to install applications.

i only get the error when i first downloaded and
installed sun java actually i uninstalled then download
and instal again the next day and both times i get the
same error that says something about my OS not allowing
sun java to instal and to refer to the vendor i bought it
from .. sun java is still on my comp rgiht now so i just
went in to add and remove then tried installing modify
etc and it seem to says it's being installed asking for

a reboot .. i did just that but then i went to chats it
won't let me in and keeps popping up with a runtime
error has occured do u wish to debug? object doesn't
support this property or method what next ?
