Default WindowsXP clean install (HELP)

I have an older pc. getting ready to run the restore disc
and bring it back to it's original state, Win 95 + alot of
other old junky software. It is currently using Win Me.
But there are several other problems that need to be
addressed. I have Windows XP pro full version + service
pack 1. Is there any way to just wipe out my pc and
install XP clean? Please help with any and all info that
might be of assistance to a novice.

If you have already installed your Windows XP Pro on
another computer, then you cannot install it on your older
computer using the same Product Key (license). You need
to purchase another XP Pro license in order to install and
activate it on your older computer. You should run the Win XP
Upgrade Advisor to determine if your old computer's
hardware can support running Windows XP.

Run the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor:
