spoolsv.exe freezes with wireless print server
Someone please help me. I have an HP 5610v all in one printer and bought a
D-link DPR-1260 to wireless connect to the printer. I have installed it and everything works fine when I am connected to the print server by network cable. When I try to go wireless I can print small documents several times or one large document and eventually the spoolsv.exe in xp will start using all the system resources and the document will not finish. As I said everything prints fine when the network cable is attached to my laptop to the print server and then to the printer but when the network cable is unattached and I try to go wireless everything goes nuts. I have contacted d-link and they say their product is working fine and that it is a problem with the print spooler in xp. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem so I don't have to carry my laptop to the printer to print. That is why I bought the print server. |

What type of printer port are you using? I'd disable any Bidirectional
communication on the port and see if you get better throughput. -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base he http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Alan, I fixed the problem last night. It was a problem in the firmware from
D-link and a conflict with IE 7. The firmware upgrade resolved the problem. Thanks "Alan Morris [MSFT]" wrote: What type of printer port are you using?
