No Text Showing

We have msn messenger 8.5 on our laptop. It worked fine one day then the
next it will not show what was typed. It shows the text as you are typing it
but once you click send, it is just a blank screen. It will show the
handwritting and any emoticons but that is all. Any help would be gladly
taken. Oh and by the way, we have tried to uninstall it and re-install it,
still not working.

I have the exact same problem, and am now running 8.5.1302.1018 after a
re-install. I have set the message options exactly as they are on another PC
that does show the text properly and that didn't work. I can see all of the
messages in History but they simply don't show up after I send, or when I get
a new message. The only thing I think I have done lately is install RegCure,
but not sure what the connection would be. But it was about the same time
the messages started not to appear. Thanks for a solution, I hope Normal63

I have not installed anything new. Any ideas on how to fix this problem
would be great.
