DVD Slide Show?
I am using XP Home SP3
I have many .jpg images which I would like to copy to a DVD so that I can cycle through them during a lecture. When I burn them to a DVD using Windows, I find that the DVD can only be played on a computer. I would much prefer to be able to use a "standard" DVD player rather than a computer (for various reasons which I can't go into here). 1) Is there some way to burn a DVD (too many files for a CD), which will play on a home DVD Player? 2) Can these be set up as a slide show which will not autoplay, but rather change scenes when I clich the remote? Thank you for any advice. |

DVD Slide Show?
These aren't XP-related questions, but apparently that's par for this
newsgroup :-) In Mort wrote: 1) Is there some way to burn a DVD (too many files for a CD), which will play on a home DVD Player? Depends on how your DVD player works. Mine, an old Sony of some sort, will take a data DVD filled with JPGs with a standard directory structure and allow you to browse through the files, displaying them just as you'd hope. 2) Can these be set up as a slide show which will not autoplay, but rather change scenes when I clich the remote? Again, it depends. Most likely, if your DVD player will display JPGs in the first place, it will have some some way to step through the images. [Before you ask, mine also plays MP3s. I think that these two functions are pretty common.] -- Bert Hyman St. Paul, MN |
