Error in system registery
the thing is, i cant even get windows xp to load, im
writing this from another computer. Is there anyway to bypass the administrator password when using windows recovery console? if i try reinstalling windows, there is not enough space on the partion that has my windows xp installed, but if im trying to install it to the same partion, even if it says it will reformat the harddrive, maybe it will reinstall windows over the existing copy of windows and my files on that partion wont be wiped? -----Original Message----- Reset it: Start--Run--type compmgmt.msc--System Tools- -Local Users and Groups--Users--right-click on Administrator--Set password. For a more comprehensive solution, make a password recovery disk. Under Related Tasks in the User Accounts Control Panel applet, click "Prevent a forgotten password." Ajers -----Original Message----- My other computer running windows xp has some kind of system registery error and wont boot to windows xp.. ive tried everything to fix it.. when i try to use recovery console, it asks me for the administrative password, which im pretty sure never set and left blank, and it wont accept the password as blank. When i try to use repair by using the disk i used to install windows xp, it fails to find the instalation of windows xp on the hard drive which is surprising. I cant install it again since all 4 of my drives have under 1gb of memory needed for win xp. Help me please.. i cant get it to start at all. . . |

Try doing a Repair Install as per the instructions at http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
