Default User Account 1 unread Mail Message

When first getting on computer, windows xp home,
underneath the User Account Name, it reads: 1 unread email
but when I look at mail there isn't one. I've called my
ISP and they said there is no mail, and I've even deleted
all mails in the inbox that I can see, yet the message
remains under the Window Account User Name. And I've
rebooted the system several times.
Anyone know of this resolve?
thank you

Hi,

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To remove an account or to change the count manually Go to:
Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Repair - select 'Repair Unread Mail count' will reset the count: its
Logon - Unread Mail has a box to uncheck to turn the matter off
