User Account 1 unread Mail Message
When first getting on computer, windows xp home,
underneath the User Account Name, it reads: 1 unread email but when I look at mail there isn't one. I've called my ISP and they said there is no mail, and I've even deleted all mails in the inbox that I can see, yet the message remains under the Window Account User Name. And I've rebooted the system several times. Anyone know of this resolve? thank you |

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP SP1) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for Windows XP Its Repair - select 'Repair Unread Mail count' will reset the count: its Logon - Unread Mail has a box to uncheck to turn the matter off -- Alex Nichol MS MVP (Windows Technologies) Bournemouth, U.K. (remove the D8 bit) |
