Shortcut doesn't work
Hi, Brian,
OK, I see your problem but not sure how to fix it. I get the same warning once in a while and have to right click the Icon, = click properties, and click Find Target for it to work. Different programs may or may not work the same. Jerry "David Brian" wrote in message = ... Hey, Thanks RJ and Squires, =20 Probably mis-stated on my part. The ADrv shortcut on my computers at = work (WinXP and 2000pro) are located on the toolbar at the bottom of the = screen with other shortcuts that I use for programs. These both work - = and yes, I understand that the floppy has to be in the drive. =20 Again, I open My Computer, right-click the A: icon, properties, send = to desktop, drag the shortcut icon to my toolbar at the bottom, insert a = floppy, click the shortcut, flashlight and then a message saying the = target couldn't be found or whatever. =20 Windows is not seeing the drive when I click the shortcut even with = the floppy in the drive. I've tried 2 different floppies.=20 =20 The path for the target is simply described as A:\ in properties. The = shortcut works if I just set it on the desktop but NOT from the toolbar. = =20 Hope that's a little clearer. What do you guys think? =20 DB --=20 We're all riding on the same starship! =20 =20 "Squire" wrote: =20 That's why a floppy needs to be inserted first, so the programs can = be found. =20 "Rocket J.
