XP Pro Recovery/Repair

I tried installning a shareware called ATM MP3Rename and
just as it finnished XP crashed out totally. I had tried
the program earlier the same day on WIN2K SP3 and all
worked fine. Nothing helped when the computer crashed, not
CTRL-ALT-DEL or trying to wait for the error report
windows to show up. So I did a hard reset but when the GUI
came up again it only stops att the screen after the
bootsplash. Nothing happens there and the keyboard is not
responding at all. I have created points of restoration
but I don't know how to access those rollbak points now..
