Default Windows Messenger 5.0.0482 peer-to-peer IM not working

Hello,

Does someone know if the registry key to lower the
HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Messenger\Client\ {83D4679F-B6D7-11D2-BF36-00C04FB90A03}\_Default\EnableSIPHighSecurityMode
has changed. If I run 5.0.0468 with this registry key set to lowest
security (0) peer IMing works ok. But, when 5.0.0482 is installed and
same registry setting is used, peer IMing doesn't work.

Thanks.
Vishal

Default Windows Messenger 5.0.0482 peer-to-peer IM not working

After restarting the messenger 5.0.0482 it works ok.
I had installed 5.0.0.482 on two PCs afresh. then while they're running but
not checked-in I had installed the following registry key. Then tried to
re-check them in to my proxy. This didn't work. I then killed the msmsgs.exe
and then re-checked the messenger in and it works ok now.

Default Windows Messenger 5.0.0482 peer-to-peer IM not working

Hello,

Are you sure ?
I have test this version with my sip server - no problem.
I tested it in such configuration: 5.0.0468 --- 5.0.0482, 5.0.0482 ---
5.0.0482 and 4.6 ---- 5.0.0482
Possible you forgot to restart the messenger.
