Default does avoiding sp2 mean you can't get any windows updates?

I've been avoiding sp2 - too scared of what could happen. Does this mean
I'm stuck and have no ability to download any additional windows updates or
patches, because if I say yes, I'll get the whole deal installed (including
sp2)?

You can still get patches. BUT SP2 contains loads of other fixes and
improvements.

Forget what you've read in the press or on these groups, millions upon
millions of people have installed SP2. If there were real problems with it
you wouldn't be able to move in these groups! 8-) But problems that can
happen by not installing it are far greater then those of installing it.

I'd just go ahead and install it, I've had it on all of my machines since
the day it was released. Not one problem with it.

If you do get problems, use the groups us geeks will sort it g
