Need to Uninstall SP2
I installed Windows XP Pro SP2, and I need to unistall Service Pack 2 due to
software compatibility issue with software. Article ID 875350 will not work. Is it possible to uninstall SP2 or could I use a Windows XP PRO SP1 with a SP2 product ID? Thanks, Will |

I don't know what article that is, I don't feel like looking it up, but did
you try removing it from Add/Remove programs? Or, you can do a system restore to a day prior to the installation of SP2. "Manic" wrote in message ... seems strange, what is the incompatibility,
maybe you can disable the feature in Windows that your software conflicts with Daniel "Manic" wrote in message ... Article ID 875350 will not work. Nope, it won't. That only applies to systems that had SP2 installed seperately from the OS. Is it possible to uninstall SP2 or could I use a Windows XP PRO SP1 with a SP2 product ID? They have to be the same type of CD (OEM, Retail, etc.) for the key to work and I'd do a clean install, not a repair install. A repair install will leave bits and pieces of SP2 behind. Steve |
