problem with sp2
I just installed sp2 in my Toshiba Satellite laptop which already had xp home
sp1. Installation seemed to go fine, programs seem to work ok, but I cannot view system info. When I open the My Computer window and click on View System Information, I get an hourglass like something is happening but the system info window never comes up. Same thing happens when I go to Control Panel and click on System. Can you help? |

Hello. I clicked on your link and have no idea what the stuff was that came
up. Anyhow, in the meantime I had tried again to view system info, and for some reason had to walk away from the computer right after clicking on "View System Information." When I came back about a half-hour later the system info window was showing just as it should, and it has worked fine (comes up quickly) ever since. Thanks for trying. "Mark L. Sorry, Mark, but that is not what happened. It somehow fixed itself BEFORE I
clicked on your link. Apparently it had to conduct a search that took a long time in order to display the system info the first time, but once that was completed it has worked quickly ever since (some trials of which were also before clicking on your link). I clicked on your link out of curiosity, and quickly closed the resulting page when I saw what it was. Thanks for your interest. Sincerely, NewBiker "Mark L.
