Windows XP Home will not boot
Can someone help me with this problem? I'm getting an error that basecatw32
is missing on boot after the Windows logo scrolls across. I've searched for this file but I can find no information on what application this file is associated with. Thanks, |

Windows XP Home will not boot
Sorry, the name of the file is basegutc32
Error message reads: Stop: c0000135 (unable to locate component) The application failed to start because basegutc32 was not found. Thanks, "Terry" wrote in message ... This app will locate the unneeded startup command, and have a checkbox to
uncheck for removing it. AutoRuns for Windows v8.61: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sys.../Autoruns.mspx -- click the Ratings button. Voting helps the web interface. http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/locales...help_en-us.htm see ''rate a post'' Mark L. Ferguson "Terry" wrote in message ... Mark,
That's a useful application however, it does me no good because the PC will not boot past the blue screen. "Mark L. Ferguson" wrote in message ... Windows XP Home will not boot
Nope been there done that. I did pull the drive and slaved it over to
another box and ran antivirus on it...found several viruses...but still will not boot. Looks like a rebuild. "DL" address@invalid wrote in message ... Safe mode, last good........?
