I have used msconfig to keep some programs from running
at system start-up. Now, however, everytime the computer
starts up, I get a "Windows Configuration Utility",
window, which I have to click through, which takes me to
the msconfig screen, which I have to click through, and
then another window which asks if I want to exit with or
without restarting. I know what I'm doing with msconfig,
I just want this screen to stop showing up everytime I
start the computer. Any suggestions?

When that msconfig dialog first appears at boot up, there should be a

check
box to disable it from appearing on future starts.

Using msconfig to disable programs from starting at boot time is only the
first step. You should follow up by removing the item from either the

Start
Up folder in Start/All Programs or remove the appropriate entry in the
registry/run keys.

Alternately, you can get the following file from Kelly's website that

allow
you to remove these disabled entries automatically.

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148, right column)
