Default File name too long - cant delete

I recently deleted a lot of files from my computer but now my recycle bin is
empty but showing as full (specifically it says it has 14 files). I try and
empty it and it says:

cannot delete (name) the file name you specified is not valid or too long.
Specify a different name.

I've tried viewing hidden files, rebooting multiple times and a few other
tricks but nothing is working. I may try deleting my recycle bin and making a
new one but that seems drastic. Any ideas what to do?

So, did you try changing the file name? If so, what was the result/
error message?

Repair the Recycle Bin:

1. Open the Run box and enter: cmd

2. In the command window, type:
attrib -s -h %SystemDrive%\RECYCLER
press ENTER, then type:
rmdir /s /q %SystemDrive%\RECYCLER
press ENTER.

3. Restart your computer.
