Default dvd showing as cd?

I have 2 dvd players one is a master and a burner, and the 2nd is just a
player.

Right now my master in Control panel is showing up as a cd? I tried updating
the drivers. Kind of a nuisance.
I think it is just the icon?
anyway to fix this?\
thanks Bruce

Bruce, my Dvd burner does the same thing at times. Just rt click on the
Icon select PropertiesRecording. Make sure that the box
is checked that say's Enable CD recording on this drive.

Try uninstalling the drives from Device Manager and restart let WinXP
reinstall them.

This is a known Windows XP issue. There is no fix, but the drive should
work normally.

Yes it seems to work alright, just seems funny one says primary says cd, and
the slave says DVD

Uninstalled the drivers, didn't make a difference
