Default White on White? How did that happen?

Hello~
First, I thank any who take the time to read and consider
this problem!
Ok. here it is:
In Internet Options on the front tab under the 'Colors'
button when choosing to use 'Windows Default' colors for
background and text, the two colors are white. This makes
for interesting reading when clicking Control Panel then
System. I can only read the links there by highlighting
them.
I do use Windowblinds. Could this have been caused by
that program?
How can I get the normal default of Black text - White
background?
I'm going to try loading the default Windows theme in
Windowblinds first to try and correct this, but I thought
it couldnt hurt to post this problem ahead of time in
case that doesn't fix it!
Thanx again for any responses!!
