Default USB Disconnect

I have a problem with my USB keyboard and mouse "loosing
connection". The mouse stops responding (as does the
keyboard) with the sound of it being unplugged.
it will then reconnect and disconnect several times until
it becomes stable again for a short while (maybe 1-5
mins).

I can see no conflicts etc.

Please help by sending email to

If the keyboard and mouse didn't come as part of your system, check the web
site of the company that made them, for tech info about that problem with
Windows XP systems, and/or for newer drivers etc.. Or, if they EVER
functioned properly, perhaps the USB port/ports on your system are
defective. That would require getting with the maker of your PC if it's
still under warranty.
