Default Using the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Hi,

I've seen two GUI apps that use the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
and one command file, all of which build a WiFi LAN through Internet
Connection Sharing. ICS is not all that desirable because it creates a new
subnet. A more useful approach would use network bridging and put every
device on the same subnet.

What I propose is not accomplished easily, in my experience. I use network
bridging and static IP assignments for Ethernet but I do not how to do it
with the Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter. Can this be done? Has it been
documented?

Cheers

PS Is this a good place to ask such a question? Is MS Virtual WiFi Miniport
Adapter installable on WinXP?
