Default Problems regarding uninstalling the latest version of Java Runtime Environment

Hi,

Every time I tried to uninstall the latest version of the Java Runtime
Environment (version 6 update 22), afterwards I can still find the plugin to
Java in Internet Explorer 8.

How can I completely uninstall the Java Runtime Environment version 6 update
22 and the ad-ons in Internet Explorer?

I have uninstalled Java from
Windows control panel, so the directory where Java was installed is removed.

It is very frustrated that I can uninstall Java from Windows Control panel,
but I still in Internet Explorer can see the ad-on (Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV
Helper).

I have tried to remove the plugin from Internet Explorer, but the
remove-button is disabled. I fine can enable and disable the plugin.

My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

I send the message in this newsgroup because I not could find a newsgroup
for Windows 7.

Have Microsoft a newsgroup for Windows 7?

Very thanks for the answer.

/ Anders

Hi, and thanks for the link.

Unfortunately I have tried the program on the website. Since I already have
uninstalled Java via Windows controlpanel, the program only will install a
new version, not clean up after the old version.

More solution is welcome!

MS has some newer forums with activity here and the is one for Windows
7 and I think one for IE (I'll let you look )

http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...WindowsAnswers

Watch out for replies that include ideas that include the words try,
maybe, might be, could be, probably, possibly or perhaps.

What a condescending pompous ass! Do you think that all your replies (here
in newsgroups and on MS forums) are dead on and accurate 100% of the time?
You have more misses than hits in the replies that you give so much of what
*you* provide in way of help ends up being nothing more than "maybes" and
"trial" solutions, you don't have a 100% correct answers track record!
Repairing problems sometimes requires that you "try" certain things without
being 100% sure that it will work and many of the helpers around here (who
are a lot smarter than you) often suggest that the problem "might be..." and
that they could "try..." and often times these suggestions end up being dead
on! In many things in life you often have to "try" things and computers are
no different, your tag line is one of the most idiotic one ever, you aren't
perfect and you aren't the best out there so put a sock in it!
