Default New computer, WinXP pro or home wont install. Files unable to copy

New computer, WinXP pro or home wont install. Files unable to copy, and it
says it has to clear the memory.

The odd part is its different files everytime, and it happens at different
times.
I get to the setup GUI with times and methods on the left, and the Windows
features on the right.

Would this be the memory? Its a new computer, and I got it a NCIX.com and
they test by putting win95 on all the computers before selling them.

I am going to try memtest.com 's tool to see if I get errors in the memory,
but does anyone know what else might be wrong.

Thanks.

Are you booting from the XP installation CD? This is how you will format,
partition drives and install XP.

Of course I am booting from the cdrom, I have installed xp on dozens of
machines this is the first time that I have run into this error. I am using
an xp cd I know works, and I know I am following the proper method of
installing. What I cant figure out is what it going wrong when the files are
copying on this specific machine, there is something wonky with the hardware.

Sorry if I seem short, this is furstrating and it is very late, thank you
for your input.
