Default How to use Messenger Voice on a LAN?

Try using Netmeeting, I have found that htis will work
with our two computers.

Netmeeting is opened using the following sequence:

Start/Run: Type conf.exe in the box an click on OK. The
first time you use it you will be required to enter some
personal details and preferences regarding hardware
subsequently you will go directly to the opening page.

To call someone, you need to know their IP address ot
they should know yours in order to call you. You will
find this when you open Netmeeting as follows: Click on
Help, About Netmeeting and then you will find the IP
address/addresses at the bottom of the page. With a LAN
you can also use the names of the computers in the
network. Please report back in order to help others with
your experiences.

Best of luck

I'd like to try Messenger (6.1) and talk to another

Messenger user on a local LAN
address (not internet). How do I do that?

Ultimately I want to use Messenger to do internet calls

between to DSL connected
computers. But for starters I'd like test tun on out LAN.
