Default Generic Host Process for Win32 service error

Hello!

I keep getting this error everytime when i start my PC..

First everything is like normal for about 2 mins, but then the error pops
up. After that my Windows Firewall stops working, my audio system doesn't
work so i have no sounds, and then finally my internet seems to stop working
too. And my Windows user interface changes a little too after i've clicked
''send error report'' or ''don't send''.
I have tried the Hotfix for this kind of problem from the Microsoft support
site, but no luck with it. I have scanned for viruses with Avast! antivirus,
too..

I want to get rid of this problem, and i need your help!
Here is the error signatu

szAppName : svchost.exe szAppVer : 5.1.2600.2180

szModName : wuaueng.dll szModVer : 7.0.6000.381 offset : 0009fbaf

Default Generic Host Process for Win32 service error

Hi,

First it would be good to prevent the "Automatic Update" service from
running and see your machine working properly. Aftewards you can
troubleshoot while the svchost.exe (Service Host) which 'hosts' the Automatic
Update service along with other crucial services that you see failing.

Do this by following Method 2 documented in ths article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927385

Be sure to manually download the updates as well.

If Method 2 doesn't prevent the svchost.exe application error then do the
following to prevent the AUtomatic Update service from starting.

Set the Automatic Updates to Manual

start / Right Click My Computer / Click Manage
Expand Services and Applications
Double Click Services
Sort by Name and find Automatic Updates and double click it
Set the Start type to Disabled
Click OK

Reboot and confirm your machine isn't experiencing the svchost.exe
application error and manually update your computer.

Now follow the Steps 1 and 2 in the above mentioned article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927385

Test the operation before resorting to Step 3 which basically cleans out
WIndows Update.
