Advanced Install files - removable?
My XP has an Advanced Installer hidden directory on all drives.
I don't know how they got there. (I have 20 partitions.) They contain a lot of bytes. I can remove them one-by-one and have done so on a few partitions. How do I get rid of them? Should I? MasonC MasonC http://frontal-lobe.info |

Seems like a fishy installer to me. How did you get it? Which softwares use such installer? |

Seems like a fishy installer to me. How did you get it? Which softwares use such installer? I have no idea how I got it or who uses it. It is "AI_RecycleBin" directory (H&S) on every drive. On some drives the hidden directory has many Mbytes stored. Google and Microsoft have many references to "Advanced Install" All that I've looked at are directed to programmers as a way of installing programs. Nothing helps me. I've deleted a few and renamed the directory on a few. (must first -h and -s) It seems to originate from a Romanian company, Caphyon Ltd., but recognized (used?) by Microsoft. ?????????????? |

Check the date the directory was made, then look for other files and folders (especially in your Program Files directory) which have the same date and time. This should reveal what was responsible for creating it. |
