Windows Live Messenger
Within the last week when I access Windows Live Messenger, each of my
contacts appear twice in the list of contacts. I've tried uninstalling Live Messenger and re-installing it, but I still get all of the contacts in the list displayed twice. Sny suggestions? -- aj_sandberg_jr |

Windows Live Messenger
Greetings John,
It's possible the non-instant messaging contacts are showing. To turn them off, just open up the contact list, press Alt on the keyboard to bring up the menubar, choose Contacts, then choose Filter contacts and then choose Messenger contacts only. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2007 Jonathan Kay. Windows Live Messenger
Greetings Jonathan:
Thanks for your response, but it didn't solve the problem. Whether I select all contacts or messenger contacts, it lists each contact twice in the list. If I select online contacts, it appears to list the conact just once. This problem of multiple listing of contacts started after I updated Windows Live Messenger to the new BETA version. -- aj_sandberg_jr "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote: Greetings John, It's possible the non-instant messaging contacts are showing.
