Default R click folder and "Make available offline" is greyed out

I am trying to get rid of offline files and when I navigate from an XP
client to the w2k DC and right click on the offending folder.... "Make
Available Offline" is greyed out (disabled).

I have no idea why this is, does anyone have any clues??

Thanks-
Steve

The ability to turn off Offline Folders has been disabled by the GPO
more-than-likely.

Same problem here with deploying a new Dell laptop running Windows XP Pro,
SP2 and a Windows 2003 server. Note: we have home directories setup for all
our users with their Outlook email *.pst files located in their home
directory. The new laptop want to synchronize very time the user logs off and
complains about the *.pst files.
I have verified the server group policies and found that both the "Local
Computer Policy" and the "User Configuration" are "Not Configured".
Has anyone found a solution to this prblem?
Note: I have found MKBA - 811660 And it claims the lastest service pack for
Microsoft Windows XP will resolve it but no luck!

Thanks,
bjsommerville
