Default my genius mouse trouble

Dear Microsoft

I have trouble with my mouse on XP Operating System,
in the begining of XP Instalation done, my genius mouse
has detected but
in the view day, XP did not detected (in Device Manager,
i can't saw the icon mice)
1. I'm try to plug in again and reboot my computer, i
hope that XP can auto detect but XP did Not.
2. I'm try to use add new hardware wizard but XP did not
find the my genius mouse
3. I think that something wrong on my SERIAL PORT but
when I start (dual boot) with Win98 my genius mouse
is working properly.

Let you know that I have genius mouse with 3 button on
SERIAL PORT (may be very old version in 1990)
my Question :
1. Could you help me to solve this problem ?
2. Why XP did not support facilities like Win98 when
Win98 did not detect new hardware they have
facilities that show all hardware that Win98 support
(mouse, printer, sound card, monitor, etc) ?
If XP have that facilities, how can i activated it ?
3. Do you have driver that support for my genius mouse
for XP OS ?

thanks' for all your attention.

Note: I'm very like on Genius Mouse by Microsoft because
they have long durabilities, until now they still good
for used

I' never got problem until they install on XP OS.
