Default HD upgrade question

I want to upgrade my existing hard disk to a larger one.
If I copy the old HD to the new one will I need to
reactivate my Win XP Pro?

Yes. Actually, you won't be able to "copy" it in the manner you expect.
You may be able to migrate it over, but it won't work properly. You'll have
to repair it. And yes...activate it afterwards.

I tried this with both Drive Image 2002 and Ghost 2003 this weekend. I did not
have to "repair" any OS installation. Drive Image worked without a single burp.
Ghost 2003 gave me a some problem related to the pagefile.sys. I had to "touch"
the virtual memory to get it to work. No activation needed afterwards.

Really? That's great! I've seen a lot of people have difficulty with this
action. Hopefully the OP will follow up on this, so we can see how he made
out.
