missing hyper-v icon
Got my desktop upgraded to win10. Went to delete the win10 in my
hyper-v partition. The hyper-v icon wasn't listed in the "all apps" section; had to do a search. Guess the new way of doing things is to do a search as ms is hiding lots of stuff from us dumb users. |

Typically (i.e. Win8 era), Hyper-V is unticked and must get ticked to install. Naturally, the Hyper-V on Win10 is an entirely different program than the Hyper-V on Win8. That's just the way ticklish VM software works. Every host OS presents new challenges, when inserting hooks in stuff, applying filter drivers, and so on. If you tick Hyper-V as a feature, and you don't meet the pre-requisites, the feature installation will fail silently. That's how it worked on Win8 for me. Good luck, Paul |
