I've been getting the download (ADSL 2+) since about 30hrs ago, and
its still downloading. I hope it finishes today!

Its a 3 gigabyte download or more for professional .
on ADSL it will take a while for me it took under 1/2 hour.
but I have 50 MBS down internet .

It seems to be bypassing my ISP since no useage is being registered.
Curious.

Mine didn't pre-download, I rebooted it just after 08:00 to allow
previous updates to finish, it offered to start the download and
install, it was all finished by 9:15.

So far I like it, start8 has been uninstalled ...

Some ISPs have a "free at night" clause. You can
do unlimited downloads between 2AM and 6AM, and
they don't count towards your monthly cap.
Check your TOS (terms of service) and see if
they have such a deal in there.
