If you are so interested why didn't you simply load something like
VMware or Virtual Box and download the free windows 10 ISO half a year
back and install it on your own machine?

That's backward.

You first decide if you like the girl, and only *then* do you marry her.

To marry her first, and then divorce her if there's no substance is a
*lot* more work, effort, cost, and risk.

You could have had first
hand knowledge of exactly what it feels and looks like. If you were
part of the insider group, you could also send feedback about your
thoughts.

Sure. And I can marry the first girl I meet that wears a pretty dress too.
It doesn't work that way.

So since you didn't and from reading most of what you say above, why not
just stay with what works?

Now that windows 10 is out, I looked up what it does, and I found two
dozen items, only two of which seem to be anything special.

a. Start menu that works exactly like XP start menu did where you can
finally right click inside of it and add things from there.

b. Avast replacement for anti virus.

Whoosh, virtual machines are completely beyond you. Ever heard of
dating the girl to see if you even like her (to then marry her later)?
Ever heard of using a VM to see if you like a program before installing
it in your real OS or as your real OS?

As you claim, you first want to know if you like the girl. Well, how
are you going to do that without meeting the girl? Running an OS or an
app in an OS inside a VM is *not* marrying yourself to that OS or app.
Deleting a VM is faster, easier, and less painful than breaking up and a
hell of a lot cheaper than divorce.

You obviously don't know how to use virtual machines to "date" an OS or
app before "marrying" them.
