There is nothing more sad than a person that just cannot admit when he is
wrong.

"Total NONSENSE!!!!".....(Copied and pasted from one of your posts.)

I failed to add the wear factor, as Tom pointed out.

With the speed of modern HD's it would not be noticeable, unless you can

see
milliseconds.

Moving the page file to a different partition on the same HD causes a
performance hit due to the fact the head is constantly moving back and

forth
to write to/read from it.

It is possible to run XP on that size partition, with that much

free
space,
I've done it but, it is too complicated for most users to keep it
running
that way.

The original poster could move the swap file to D:, that could free

up
a
few
hunderd megs.

Hi Tom,

Are you using one of the computers at the library? I use the one at the
office in my apartment complex. I think it is faster than the one at the
local library. I'm not sure though cause I don't got no millisecond meter.
Do you know where I can get one of them?

This must be the case with both of us,.....in someone's narrow mind.

Have a good one, JAX

The physical movement of the heads back and forth is what causes the

hit,
to
say nothing of unnecessary additional wear.

Testy,

I have read thru this entire thread out of curiosity. Whereas Jax and Tom have tried to be helpful, you have been anything but. You have disputed their opinions without offering any, been insulting, arrogant and an all around A**HOLE.

You make the claim you are helping by pointing out that they are wrong, but offer no proof other then your claim, unsubstantiated, that its your 15 years of experience. You offer no alternatives, you offer no rationale. When challenged you insult others
by calling them blonde and gay lovers.

I would not pay you $1,00 per hour for your help. That with your crap ass attitude you have any cleints is amazing.

Testy is a good name for you. Instead of offering intelligent discussion when questioned, that is how you get, "testy." And without any evidence to the contracy, we are only left with the conclusion that you are unable to offer unintelligent discussion.

Why do you not just stay off the boards and leave them here for people who need help and want to help. You are neither.
