taskbar customize notification area only shows "Hide when inactive"
In Windows XP Pro sp2 with all applicable updates when I try to change
the status of the taskbar notification area icons from "Hide when inactive" to "Always hide" or "Always show" the latter 2 options are not available. "Hide when inactive" is the only option available. To get to the above options right click on an empty area of the taskbar, left click on "Properties", check "Hide inactive icons" and left click on "Customize". All of the displayed and current icon items show "Hide when inactive" and can not be changed. All 3 options used to be available. Any suggestions or a correction procedure will be appreciated. Thanks in advance Carl F |

taskbar customize notification area only shows "Hide when inactive"
Did you try clicking "Hide when inactive" and then clicking the down arrow?
