Unable to access Desktop

My Administrator account is unable to use the Start Menu or open any icons on
my Desktop. I can access the Internet through various IM programs which
auto-start. If I try to access my Desktop/Start Menu, all programs will
freeze. I do not have this problem with my Guest Account, however. PLEASE
HELP!!!
