Default Microsoft works no longer works

When I try to retrieve files from Works I get the message "Works cannot find
the files needed to complete th task. The files may be missing or corrupted.
Reinstall Works."
I went to help and support on my comutor and "thought" I reinstalled Works
(which came preinstalled) but I have had no luck.

I don't know what to do.

Hello,

To reinstall Works,
1) Locate the CD and the product key (if you have, not sure whether works
requires this)
2) Start Control Panel Add/Remove Programs Remove Microsoft Works (try
the repair option if it is available, if not just uninstall it)
3) "reinstall" Works by inserting the CD and installing from there

What brand PC did you get. Dell, Compaq and HP provide either the disk or access to these
pre-installed files.
If not that, then you are about to buy a new copy of Works.
