unknown files in WinXP
I am running windows XP with service pack2 on a Pentium machine. I seem
to have picked up a number of directories labeled 12dfe21b4363607 71e9b297da8c1e9db5f1d25 and 772daa7f727870ce9f655d2a030d2ff0 drilling down into these directories gets me to another directory labeled sp2 drilling down into this sub-directory locates another subdirectory labeled update going further a fined a file called "Update.exe" My question is as follows What do these files do and can i delete these directories from my system without causing any damage? |

They normally are deleted automatically when the installed is completed. You
