Default How get rid of drive in W10

I used Macrium to create a backup of my C drive some ime ago. Last
week I double clicked on the bckup image file to look at the content,
and file manager duly cr4eated a G drive showing the backup'ed
content. Now I want to remove that G drive. How? Should be simple,
but I don't see how to do it.
Thanks
J

And in general terms, there are only two (GUI) places to look.

Attach/Detach functions can be present in File Explorer, or
they can be present in the menu or interface of Disk Management.

Since Macrium is a third party application, their easiest point
of entry is through a right-click Context Menu item in File Explorer.

But if you can't find something like that, check both File Explorer
(main pane or left column pane) and Disk Management (top menus
or right-click on a disk drive bar in the main pane).

In Windows 10, you can attach and detach virtual ISOs and
VHD virtual disks. A third-party program can attach their custom
format container as a virtual disk (Macrium, Acronis, or
about 20 other backup programs).

The program "diskpart" has some "interesting" functions,
and some of the things that should have a menu item in
Disk Management, instead are accessible via "diskpart"
command line. For example, if I'm trying to "dd.exe"
a file on top of a USB stick, and I get "permission denied",
using "diskpart" I can select the USB stick as a disk, then
issue a "clean" to wipe just the MBR partition table, and then the
"dd.exe" command will start working. Users don't normally
need "diskpart", but if you really cannot find some obscure
function, that's another place to look. You can attach a
VHD via "diskpart".

This is an example of a hidden function in "diskpart".
Diskpart options will vary across versions of Windows
(this one isn't available in WinXP for example).

diskpart
select vdisk FILE=F:\WIN10.vhd
compact vdisk
