Conflict between USB Devices

I'm having several different intermitent problems with USB devices. I have 6
USB 2.0 ports on my MB - 4 out back and two up front. I also have a USB 2.0
IDE card installed with 5 additional ports. I have a USB wireless mouse
(Microsoft Mouse with latest frivers) pluged in one of the MB ports. If I
then plug in a USB memory card reader, about 50% of the time my mouse locks
up and I have to reboot. Now I'm running into issues with a new USB printer
that I have. I have it plugged into the USB card along with a USB web
camera. When printing, I sometimes have issues with my webcam freezing.
When this happens I also get printing errors (and a lot of wasted paper).

Any idea on what is going on?

In Device Manager, are there any conflicts or errors showing at Universal
Serial Bus controllers?

It is possible that you PC's power supply can not provide enough power over
the USB ports for all your USB devices. You can try adding a "self-powered"
USB hub. A "self-powered" USB hub is a hub that comes with its own power
supply.

Thanks. I believe that my power supply is more than adequate but I may be
trying to draw more power than it can supply. But if that were the case,
Windows should notify me of the problem instead of just allowing errors to
happen.
