delete user accounts in MSN Messenger login-screen
Hi,
I've read on the Internet how to remove the user accounts in the MSN Messenger login-screen. (by: Start / Control Panel / User Accounts / [account name] / Manage My Network Passwords. A window opens "Stored Users Names and Passwords". Than you should select a user and click on "Delete" ). However, when I do so, nothing happens. I just can't delete a .Net account from this list. Does anyone know about this problem and is there a solution? Thank you! Michèle |

Greetings Michèle,
Are you using the Dutch version of Windows XP? Unfortunately, there is a current bug in the Dutch version of Windows XP which prevents you from removing passport information from your account. As such, this won't work, and there is no other way of doing it. As far as I know, this hasn't been fixed, but you may want to run WindowsUpdate (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com on that computer to see if there's an update that will fix this). ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "MC" wrote in message ... Indeed I use the Dutch version. I haven't found the fix in Windows Update
yet. But I'm planning to install the English version anyway, for I seek on Internet a lot of information, troubleshooting, tweaks etc, and all that is in English too. So that makes it more easy to work with. I understand that it is also possible to remove the user accounts. Thanks once again! Greetings, Michèle "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" schreef in bericht ...
