Reduce open windows in Quicklaunch toolbar

HELP! I accidentally dragged this icon from my
quicklaunch toolbar to the desktop. After I dragged it
back, it no longer minimizes all windows. Now it opens
another window with all my desktop icons in it. How can
I correct this?
