Default Adding a folder to This PC

Hi all,

Running W10 Pro x64.
When I click on This PC, I see in the top of the screen 7 folders: 3D
Objects, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures and Video's. I
would like to add a folder there. I have a folder called PDF, with many
PDF subdirs and files inside.
How can I add this folder here?

Many thanks in advance.

You mean like http://www.littleworksstudio.com/temp/usenet/libraries

Winkey+R

enter: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

right-click New Library

Define custom library...

I think what you want is to add a folder to the 'Quick Access' list. To
do so, right click on the folder and select Pin to Quick Access.

OK, it now shows up in the Quick access list. Thanks.
But still not in This PC.

VanguardLH...

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I tried and tried to find a way to do
this in Windows 7, unsuccessfully.

I wonder what systems in W10 will now not function correctly with the
addition of the new folders.

Winaero Tweaker is one of the best tweak programs I have ever used, It
can do so many things that seem impossible to do. :-)

It is good, I've used it on a couple of laptops. One thing it doesn't
do, or at least the copy I have doesn't do, is change the color of the
text in windows. Not sure that's possible in some cases, but it would
be nice. I have a client who is constantly complaining the text in
Yahoo Mail web client is hard for her to read. I need to play with
Windows Mail, to see how that works. I won't reccommend TB to her, it
would be too hard for her to grasp how it works.

Fokke,

Below is an answer to a previous (similar) request which may serve
your requirements.

Libraries don't do this, at least not directly. Although they are
very similar to the technology that does, which is "search folders"
(first introduced in Vista but somewhat modified in Windows 7).

Anyway...

Libraries really just "gather contents" from several locations. So
your Documents library by default looks in two places, and shows
everything it finds in one combined view for easy access of all
documents, regardless of where they really are stored.

Now if you want to have a library that looks inside your Documents
folder, but only shows the PDF files, you can certainly do that, but
not directly with a library by itself.

---

To do this, first open your Document library, type *.pdf into the
search box so that you're seeing all the PDF files in and under the
Document library. Take a moment to set the style you like (group by
date modified or author, sort by modified timestamp, whatever you
like) and set the icon size you like. Then click "save search" on the
toolbar. This search will be indexed and act like a library. As new
PDF files show up in the computer, this search will automatically pick
them up and show them, like a "live folder" that only shows PDFs.

NOTE the "%" to dereference
