I want to thank you for taking time to offer your opinions, Someone
wanted to know if I was talking about the text,or font, It would be
the text since the printer prints such a small type, and the system is
windows xp, IE7 and it's a Lexmark printer. I've read your suggestions
and worked with the printer, and found no help. Even making the text
size larger on the computer didn't help.

Is your problem arising from the effect of shrink to fit? Shrink to fit
helps with the problem of losing the right hand size of the page. The
downside is the text size is reduced. One way to counter the problem is
to change the Portrait setting to Landscape.

Otherwise look at the web page for Print friendly options. An option on
this page is if you select Low Graphics:

Another example -see Page Tools and Print this page

Try asking the question differently or stating your problem so we
don't have to guess what you are doing and ask so many questions.

You still have not said what or how you are trying to print. Are you
trying to print a WWW page from IE? Are you trying to print a MS Word
document? Spreadsheet? Text File?

Say something like:

"I am using IE7 and when the WWW page is displayed, if I choose File,
Print, the web page prints but it is too small, or the text is too
small..."

You did not say what happens when you printed a test page.

What does your print effort look like in Print Preview?

If a WWW page doesn't work, how about printing something else from
another program, or is it just WWW pages that don't work?

Is it all WWW pages or just one?

If it is a WWW page you want to print, what is the URL (address) of
the WWW page so I can try it here?

I don't even know if it is a WWW page you are trying to print, so I
can only guess what you are doing.

You can try Yahoo, if you want-it will probably be normal on your

So, now we know (after a couple days) you are trying to print a web
page. What browser are you using? Internet Explorer, Firefox,
something else?

I am using Firefox for a browser, so this applies to Firefox:

When you are in your browser and choose File there is a Page Setup
option and a Scale box (percentage).

On mine, the scale is set to 80%.

What is yours? Change it if it is too small and your browser should
remember it.

When you choose File, Print Preview, there is also a Page Setup option
there with a Scale option.(percentage). You can change it there.

When you set it in either place, it will be the same in both places.

If you are using IE (sounds like it) you did not say what a Print
Preview looks like. You should check in Print Preview and it is too
small, make adjustments there.

I do not have the patience or time to fool around with IE. It is too
slow and too clumsy. Asking it to print one WWW page took way too
long and I will never do it again.

You should know enough to start doing a little of your own
troubleshooting, or consider Firefox .

If you still have questions/problems you need to give more details to
reduce the number of messages back and forth digging for simple
details.
