Fax Problems...
I used to be able to fax from my computer. After I moved, however, I have not been able to fax since. It has been over a year and I still cannot get it working. I always get a message stating "fax device error". I would appreciate any input.

Fax Problems...
I forgot to mention in my inital post that within my fax consule, under the title Extended Status it reads that the line is unavailable. Does this have something to do with my DSL highspeed internet through my phone company?

Yes
You need a filter from your phone company if your DSL is piggy backed on your voice line.. Or an anlog phone line with an anolog mode connected to your computer.. "Teneil" wrote in message ... Adding a bit to Victor's reply, sending a fax by DSL requires one of two
methods: 1. You obtain a DSL line filter suitable for connecting a standard voice telephone to the DSL line, then connect a regular analog fax modem to the line through the line filter. Your DSL provider has these filters, as does your local Radio Shack sto http://www.radioshack.com/category.a...dsl%20filt er(keyword) 2. You hire an Internet E-faxing service: http://www.slipstick.com/addins/serv...tm#internetfax Personal Fax Services - Internet Fax http://www.savetz.com/fax/ FAQ: How can I send a fax from the Internet?
