Sign password??
Since I'm the only user, the signin password is, to me, useless nonsense! How do I set myself as "Administrator" ? Is there a way to eliminate the need to go through the sign-in bit?? |

KenW It works a little bit different on Win8. Win8 provides two user levels (Administrator or Standard) If one accesses Control Panel/User Accounts and they are a Standard User they can not change their own account to Administrator If one accesses Control Panel/User Accounts and they are an Administrator they can change the account to Standard user as long as another Administrator account is present. I.e. Only an Administrator account can change an account from Standard to Administrator The first account created when Windows 8 is installed is always an Administrator account. All other accounts have to be created by an Admin account (and only Administrator accounts can raise another account from Standard to Administrator) -- ...winston msft mvp consumer apps |
